Scuba Regulators

About Scuba Regulators

There are several kinds of scuba regulators, namely:

a. Scuba Regulators # 1 – Two house
these scuba regulators known in the U.S. since 1949. Scuba regulators of this type consist of one part of the valve mounted on the tube with a breathing air conduit, mouthpiece and a pipe to waste an air. At this time usually called House Regulator.
Mouthpiece is a part that entered into the mouth.

b. Scuba Regulators # 2 – Two stage
Scuba regulators of this type work with air pressure. Pressure tube divided into 2 levels, from high pressure to the first stage to the lower pressure of about 140 PSI at second stage. It is set in a small space on scuba regulators.
When divers breathe, he will create a vacuum in the breathing pipe on the scuba regulators. Membrane (which directly affected by water) pressing the lever and the second stage low pressure causes air to flow to the diver.
When the diver stops breathing, the air flow rapidly became balanced in the pipe and the scuba regulators, and screen will return to normal position where the lever second stage blocking the way of air flow.
Therefore the water pressure regulating air flow, then its pressure is adjusted where the divers.
A scuba regulators is actually a simple mechanism, where the air flows only when the diver to breathe and instantly adjusts automatically with the water pressure at these depths through a simple way of equalization.

c. Scuba Regulators # 3 – Single Stage
this is scuba regulator type with a double pipe using a simple lever system. This type of scuba regulators directly alters the pressure on first stage. These scuba regulators no longer produced in America.

d. Scuba Regulators # 4-Single Hose
This type of scuba regulators scuba regulators are the most commonly used today. Scuba regulators consist of:

1.    First Stage, with a high pressure valve developed into tubes
2.    Pipe
3.    Second stage, which consists of rubber insulation, air relief valve, and mouthpiece.
Single hose scuba regulators work with the two stages just like two hose scuba regulators. The difference is the two separate levels. In this second stage scuba regulators situated near the mouth of the diver to breathe easier.
